Top ten best Christmas movies ever
I’m a movie fan, and Christmas is the perfect time to sit down with your family and watch some old favorites. Here are a few of mine (in no particular order):
10. How the Grinch Stole Christmas – This is a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. The story is timless, great animation.
9. Christmas Vacation – One of the last funny things Chevy Chase did. Includes many classic moments.
8. Scrooged – A very underrated take on Dicken’s Christmas Carol, Scrooged stars Bill Murray in his comedic prime in the title role. Not Murray’s best work, but has it’s moments and is still a must-watch for me around Christmas time.
7. Arthur Christmas – I have to admit I wasn’t too excited to see this movie, but was pleasantly suprised at how funny it was. Just came out on video, great for the family.
6. Home Alone – My favorite movie when I was eight, I still watch it whenever I catch it on TV.
5. A Christmas Story – Strange but suprisingly funny.
4. Elf – Will Ferrell’s first breakout hit, Elf is a great family movie and is still among his best.
3. A Christmas Carol – I prefer the Muppet version.
2. Gremlins – Not sure if this qualifies as a Christmas movie, but if it does, it’s one of my all-time favorites.
1. It’s Wonderful Life – This is the one movie I always watch around Christmas. It’s funny, heartwarming, and uplifting. James Stewart is my favorite actor, and this is one of his best performances.
