Movie Review: Anchorman 2
If you saw the first Anchorman movie almost ten years ago, you pretty much will know what to expect with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. More silly humor, some of it quite crude. Everyone I talked to about this movie is saying they liked the first one more, but I thought this one was a lot funnier. Aside from the last twenty minutes, which drags, I was literally laughing almost non-stop. A lot of it, like the first one, is really hit-and-miss, but I guess more of the jokes ‘hit’ for me in this installment.
Not to give too much away, but to give you a feel for what kind of movie this is, Ron Burgundy goes blind, raises and bottle-feeds a shark, moves into a lighthouse, pioneers the first twenty-four hour cable news channel, and much more all in the space of under two hours.
This movie really isn’t for everyone. I noticed a lot of people walking out of the movie half way through, probably because they were offended by some of the jokes. But if you are a fan of Will Ferrell, particularly the first Anchorman movie, you should probably check this one out.
