Movie Review: Gravity
Gravity stars Sandra Bullock as a rookie astronaut seperated from her crew and drifting aimlessly in space, fighting for survival. It was shot in 3D, and should really be seen that way to get the whole experience. I am not a fan of 3D, but they make it work here in a way that makes you feel like you’re right there with astronaut Sandy. Debris and George Clooney float and at one point Clooney is so close you feel like you could shake his hand.
This movie has been getting amazing reviews and I can understand why. It’s different then anything else I’ve seen before. Sandy and Clooney do a great job, and it is visually stunning. You feel like a part of the action as Bullock gets tossed around and grasps for anything to hold onto. It immerses you unlike any other movie, and really should be seen in the theater. I don’t know how well Gravity will hold up on DVD or TV since it relys so heavily on the theatrical experience, so if you haven’t seen it yet, I would recommend you catch it soon.
